TO OUR GUESTS

Welcome...

Please know that each of you are welcome to our worship services every Sunday. Your attendance here gladdens us. Let joy abound!

At each of our Sunday Morning worship services, we have a nursery staffed with qualified personnel. See one of our greeters for details.

On Sunday evenings at 6:00 we have a New testament style worship service along with our Get Connected small groups and our Bible 101 class.

On Wednesday evenings at 7:00 we have our Going Deeper group for adults in the sanctuary.

On Thursdays after school from 3 til 4:30, we have our REACH program for children in grades K through 6.  The program continues at 5 for those in grades 7 through 12.

Just to talk...

If you have any questions about being a Christian or about church membership, or you have a personal spiritual concern, please contact any member of our staff or one of our elders.

Why not start today...

To get involved more with coming to Sunday School and morning Worship Service, to be a part of the church family; to get involved in the various Bible studies. We would love to have you join us.

Grade School News

Our Grade School is now registering students for the 2016-17 school year. If you are interested in registering your child, or know someone who is, please stop by the school office. If you have any questions, you may call the school office at 740.633.0199 or talk to Becky Hill or Jamie Hancock. (Note: Students must be 5 by August 1st to enroll in kindergarten.)

Feed the Hungry

Every 3rd Sunday of the month, part of the Hands and Feet ministry at our church feeds the hungry of our community after church.  Please see Shayla if you would like to help or donate to this part of the ministry.

There are still several dates open to place flowers in the sanctuary in honor or in memory of a loved one or friend. The cost is $20. Please write 'flowers' in the memo of your check and place it in the offering plate on your particular Sunday. Thank you for your willingness to decorate the church on Sundays.

Bag Lady

The next Bag Lady collection is August 21st. Some requested items are canned tuna, tomato and chicken noodle soup, canned fruit, ramen noodles, shampoo, toothpaste, and deodorant. Bag Lady collection is every 3rd Sunday morning before church in the church parking lot.

Don't Neglect your Christian Education

If you're in charge of a child, bring him or her to Sunday School. Starting at 9:15 each Sunday morning, we are staffed and ready to teach children from ages two through high school.  We also offer adult Sunday School classes at both 9:15 and 10:45. Adults can choose one service time for Sunday School and the other for worship. Our educational team invites everyone to take advantage of what we have to offer.  It's available at no cost; you just have to make the commitment to attend!

The Necessities Barn

A new mission, The Necessities Barn, is coming to our congregation! The Necessities Barn will provide everyday personal hygiene items to those in need.  However, your help is needed before it can begin. We need a large stockpile of items such as shampoo, bar soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, shaving cream, disposable razors, dish soap, liquid laundry soap, and more. There is a tote for donations under the coat rack near the elevator. If you are interested in more information, please contact Ashley Koonce.

Please reserve September 17th on your family calendar! The Haiti FUnd will hold its annual auction and luncheon; all donations are used for a retreat for sixth grade students from Blanchard Christian Church in Haiti. Fifty children will be invited to the event which includes teaching about the Christian lifestyle and how to deal with peer pressure. Highlights also include a sleepover at a campsite and a trip to a pool/beach area, both of which are activities none of the children will have experienced before. Details to follow...

Moving FORWARD

We are continuing to move FORWARD on our building project, but we still need YOUR help! Don't forget to make your contributions to the Forward Fund by writing FORWARD in the memo area of your check, then putting it in the regular Sunday offering. And continue to pray for the project, asking for God's wisdom and blessing with every step.

Lost and Found

Save The Date

The church office has several pairs of eye glasses that have been collected over the past several months. Some are prescription while others are reading glasses. Please stop in and see if any of these belong to you. They will be kept for a one more week and then taken to an organization that collects them. Also, there are a few lost car keys for you to see if they are yours.

Please be sure to check the church mailbox to see if you have any mail (birthday cards, etc). Please help us to keep it cleaned out of cards each month. Thank you!
