Job Title: Teen Youth Director
Reports To: Senior Minister and Elders
Position Type: Part-time (Approx 10 Hours per week)
Position Overview:
The Teen Youth Director is responsible for developing and leading a dynamic, Christ-centered youth ministry for teenagers (typically grades 7-12). This role focuses on nurturing spiritual growth, building meaningful relationships, and creating a supportive environment where teens can explore and live out their faith.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Weekly Bible Youth Group: Plan and facilitate weekly youth group meetings including Bible studies, discussions, worship, and fellowship.
• Spiritual Development: Mentor and guide teens in their walk with Christ through teaching, prayer, and one-on-one discipleship.
• Events and Activities: Organize and oversee youth retreats, service projects, mission trips, and recreational outings. Director will plan
at least eight teen youth events throughout the year. Director will plan one weeklong trip to CIY/Church Camp/Mission Trip a year.
• Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support adult volunteers and youth leaders.
• Parental Communication: Maintain regular contact with parents/guardians to ensure transparency, safety, and support.
• Church Integration: Involve teens in broader church life including worship services, outreach, and leadership opportunities. Director will foster relationship building by attending 20 community/school events or visits throughout the year.
• Administrative Tasks: Maintain records, communicate schedules, manage the youth ministry budget, and ensure compliance with church safety policies.
Qualifications:
• A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for youth ministry.
• Previous experience working with teenagers in a church or community setting is recommended.
• Strong leadership, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and manage events, schedules, and volunteers.
• Familiarity with Scripture and the ability to make biblical teachings relatable for teens.
• Background check and adherence to child protection guidelines are required.
Job Title: Children’s Youth Director
Reports To: Senior Minister and Elders
Position Type: Part-Time (Approx 10 hours per week)
Position Overview:
The Children’s Youth Director is responsible for developing and overseeing programs that nurture the spiritual, emotional, and social development of children and pre-teens (typically grades K–6). This person creates a welcoming and engaging environment where young people can grow in their faith and build lasting relationships with peers and mentors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Program Development: Design, coordinate, and implement age-appropriate Christian education programs including midweek ministries, and seasonal events (e.g., Vacation Bible School, holiday programs). Oversee wee worship (3 year to kindergarten age)
• Relationship Building: Foster caring, Christ-centered relationships with children and their families. Attend 20 events yearly to develop relationships (sporting events, programs, recitals, visits etc)
• Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and ministry leaders for children’s programs.
• Event Planning: Organize special events, service projects, and outreach activities for children and families. At least 8 events a year should be planned and organize and direct Vacation Bible School.
• Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents, church staff, and volunteers regarding schedules, events, and children’s spiritual progress.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all children’s programs follow church safety policies, including background checks and supervision protocols.
• Collaboration: Work with church leadership to integrate children into the life of the church and support intergenerational engagement.
Qualifications:
• A strong personal Christian faith and a passion for children’s ministry.
• Experience working with school-aged children in church, school, or community settings is recommended.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to teach biblical principles in creative and relatable ways.
• Basic administrative skills, including scheduling and program planning.
• Background check required; training in child safety preferred.
